Lapde, “Lap-dee”, is a state licensed professional counselor. Her specialty is in anxiety, relationships, multiculturalism, graduate school, and life transitions. She primarily works with individuals but also has extensive experience in group work, young adults, and drug and alcohol treatment. She works with a wide age range from high schoolers through older adulthood.

Lapde worked at this outpatient dual diagnosis treatment facility as an adolescent clinician and adult outpatient clinician. In Norwalk, she ran an intensive outpatient program for adolescents and also led weekly family education groups and workshops. In Stamford, she ran a women’s anger management group, men’s co-occurring disorders group, men’s CBT-12 group, and conducted intake assessments and evaluations.

Lapde provided therapy for individuals, couples, and families at this multidisciplinary group practice. She worked with many individuals dealing with depression and anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, or overall unhappiness. Lapde worked at this non-profit agency, which at the time was called Women’s Therapy Center and is now known as the Therapy Center of Philadelphia. There, she provided low-cost, quality therapy services to women in the greater Philadelphia area. Her work focused on empowering women and helping them create a voice to express themselves and feel better about who they were.

Past: Young Adult Addictions Counselor at Rehab After Work in Paoli, PA

Lapde was previously a young adult addictions counselor at Rehab After Work in Paoli, Pennsylvania. She ran an intensive outpatient program for young adults ages 18-30 who were suffering from chemical dependency. She also ran a weekly family education group, aftercare relapse prevention group, addiction awareness group, and conducted evaluations and drug and alcohol assessments.


Lapde was born and raised in southern Illinois, outside of St. Louis. She moved to Philadelphia after college and now resides in Fairfield, Connecticut with her husband, two sons, and pet cat. Her parents are from Hong Kong and she understands basic level Cantonese Chinese. She played the violin since age 4 and enjoys doing arts and crafts, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, and watching movies.
